Homework

In the Early Years (Prep to Grade Four), homework should not be seen as a chore. Homework mainly consists of daily reading to, with, and by parents/caregivers or siblings. It may also enable students to practice skills taught in class or gather extra information or materials. This will generally not exceed 30 minutes a day.

In the Middle Years (Grades Five to Nine), homework should consist of daily independent reading and may include an extension of class work, projects and assignments, essays and research. This will generally range form 30 to 45 minutes a day.
