Berwick Fields Primary School

Chaplaincy Program

National Student Wellbeing Program (NSWP)

We have the wonderful assistance of our School Chaplain through the National Student Wellbeing Program at Berwick Fields Primary School. This is supported by our highly valued local children’s charity CHIPS (Christians Helping In Primary Schools), who also offer adventure and activity day excursions, and support for families experiencing trauma and disadvantage.
The NSWP is relational in nature and promotes unconditional acceptance and the building of self-esteem and hope through play, games, music, and art and craft activities. Students are encouraged to grow in their wellbeing skills in areas such as:

Our school Chaplain provides inclusive support for the emotional wellbeing of students by providing pastoral care services and strategies that support the emotional wellbeing of the broader school community, as part of our Health and Wellbeing program.  Both one-on-one and group sessions are provided.  The program offers assistance for children and parents who need help dealing with issues such as:

The NSWP service is currently available for two days per week. For more information, please contact the school to request a call back from our Chaplain.
